The Dallas Local is brought to you by the people and businesses of Dallas, Texas.  Our job is to ensure that you will have a great time in Dallas when you know where to go and what’s popular to see  With all the many highways and behind all the bright lights, there’s a lot to see and do at almost any time.  Dallas has it all, fun, food, history, culture, arts, music, entertainment, attractions, great sports teams, parks, golf courses, clubs, shopping and much more to offer.  This website is a great tool for the college students, residents, as well as the many visitors who travel through Dallas on a daily basis,  Thanks to the many attractions our city has to offer, Dallas is the top ranked visitor destination in Texas.

If you have not visited Dallas in the past few years, then you have not seen the many changes that have taken place.  Highway projects have been completed and others have begun construction.  Voted Best International Skyline by USA Today, the skyline has had some changes in the near past with the restyled “W Dallas – Victory” Hotel, and others are in current construction or have ‘breaking ground’ dates in the very near future.  The American Airlines Center opened in 2001 and is home to the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars, with more than 200 annual events.  The expansion of DFW has not only been seen in Dallas, but also in Grand Prairie, Arlington, Southlake, McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Addison, and much of the areas northwest of the city.  The new AT&T Stadium is a jewel in itself.  The $1.2 billion dollar project opened on June 6th, 2009, with a concert featuring George Strait.  The Dallas Cowboys Football team moved into their new house on May 27th, 2009, before the start of the 2009 season.
